Developer files plans for a $3M rehab of Staten Island Pre-K

Naftali Amos of 365 Bay Street LLC, on July 14, filed a permit application for a $2.7 million rehab of a Pre-K at 365 Bay Street in Staten Island.

The plans call for a rehab of the cellar, roof, and both floors of the 51-foot tall, 2-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: general construction work related to school fit-out as shown on drawings filed herewith. no change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $2,738,790.

The property was acquired for $1.2 million on July 27, 2018. The following year, the Amos filed plans to convert the building to a Pre-K. The ground floor, which at the time was used as a community center , and second floor, which was used as an eating and drinking establishment with office space, were both converted to school space.
