Developer files plans for 21-unit residential building in Hudson Heights

Yisroel Eckstein, through the company Gold Chip Ventures LLC, on September 11, filed a permit application for construction of a 21-unit, 18,154-square-foot residential building at 205 Cabrini Boulevard in Hudson Heights.

The plans call for the construction of a 75-foot tall, six-story residential building and penthouse.

The project is described in the filings as: new six-story residential building and penthouse. Total of 21 dwelling units.

The ground floor of the proposed development will have recreation space and parking for 13 cars, according to the plans. Floors two through five will each have four dwelling units. The sixth floor will have three dwelling units as well as the lower halves of two duplex apartments. The penthouse will be occupied by the upper halves of the two duplexes. The building will also have a roof deck.

RISE Architecture will be the architect.

The property was acquired for $3 million on September 4, 2018.

Considering the lot is vacant, it is unlikely that demolition plans will be filed in conjunction with the new development plans.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.
