Demolition plans filed at Chetrit’s UES development site
On March 24, a permit application was filed for the demolition of a 26,797-square-foot residential building at 1357 Second Avenue in the Upper East Side. Kevin Kim filed the plans. The site is owned by the Chetrit Group, which acquired it for $47.3 million on October 30, 2018.
The full assemblage, which includes 252-254, 257, 259 and 260 East 72nd Street, was purchased from SL Green for for $144 million. Chetrit refinanced the development site at the end of last year, with a $116.5 million loan from G4 Capital Partners.
The plans call for the demolition of a five-story building.
