Demolition of commercial building in East Williamsburg

On March 12, the demolition of a commercial building at 53 Scott Avenue in East Williamsburg was formally completed.

The plans were filed by Pamela Gaslow, the property’s previous owner. Thomas Ta through the entity S53 LLC acquired the property for $5.1 million in a deal that closed on August 20, 2020 and was recorded on October 6, 2020.

The plans, pre-filed on March 18, 2020, call for the demolition of a building.

The project is described in the filings as: full demolition of a one story building.

The previous developer was planning to construct a four-story, 23,859-square-foot factory with restaurant space at the property. The plans were disapproved in November of 2020, it is unclear what the current developer plans to do with the site.
