TCO for 31-unit resi building in Jamaica, six years after plans were filed

Harjit Singh, on March 12, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 31-unit, 22,676-square-foot residential building at 87-65 171st Street in Jamaica, Queens.

The plans, pre-filed on February 26, 2014, call for the construction of an 88-foot tall, eight-story residential building. The time from pre-file to TCO was six years and one month.

The project is described in the filings as: herewith to propose new multifamily eight-story building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building has a lobby and parking for seven vehicles. Floors two through seven each have five dwelling units per floor, while the eighth floor has one dwelling unit, a recreation room, and laundry. The cellar has additional parking for nine vehicles.

M S Savani Architects PC. was the architect named.

The property was acquired for $1.4 million on December 4, 2013.
