Deckers finishes $2.8M rehab of new retail space in Brookfield’s 530 Fifth Avenue
Deckers Brands, on November 23, formally completed a $2.8 million rehabilitation of their UGG brand flagship store at 530 Fifth Avenue in Grand Central. Brookfield Properties owns the retail portion of the building.
The plans, pre-filed on January 28, 2020, call for a rehab of floors one and two of the 175-foot tall, 26-story, building. Lea Yamaguchi of Brookfield was the owner representative on the DOB filing.
The project is described in the filings as: demolition and installation of non-load bearing partitions on the first and second floors of an existing commercial building. Architectural work. No change in use, occupancy or egress The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $2,825,037.
Quezada Architecture was the architect.
Last week it was reported that the Southern California-based global lifestyle brand would debut a new flagship store in the building.
The ownership team acquired the building in June of 2014 for $595 million.
