DBI Projects files plans for 94K sf school in Riverdale

DBI Projects, on January 8, filed a permit application for construction of a 94,917-square-foot school building at 2720 Jerome Avenue in Riverdale. Ahkilah Johnson filed the plans.

The plans call for the construction of an 85-foot tall, six-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: construct new six-story community facility building as per plans filed.

The ground floor of the building will have a gymnasium, cafeteria, kitchen, servery, and office space, per the plans. The second floor will have classroom space and office space, as well as an outdoor play terrace. The upper floors will also have classroom and office space.

Marvel Architects is listed as the architect.

Demolition plans were filed in October of 2020.

The property was acquired for $12.8 million on August 20, 2020.
