David Huang files plans for 48-unit resi building in Jamaica

David Huang, on October 14, filed a permit application for construction of a 48-unit, 35,191-square-foot residential building at 153-33 89th Avenue in Jamaica, Queens.

These are the 39th new building plans filed in the neighborhood so far this year, in what is typically one of the more active neighborhoods in terms of new development.

The plans call for the construction of an 80-foot-tall, nine-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00482934. The development site spans two tax lots.

The project is described in the filing as: to construct a new nine-story residential building as per plans filed herewith, obtain new certificate of occupancy.

According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby and one dwelling unit. Floors two through eight will each have six dwelling units per floor, the ninth floor will have five dwelling units and a terrace. The 10th floor will have recreation space. The cellar will have parking.

The architect listed is HCD Architect PC.

The estimated job cost is $3.5 million.

The property was acquired for $785,000 on December 27, 2012.
