Continuum Company files plans for 168-unit resi building in Crown Heights

Ian Bruce Eichner’s Continuum Company, on January 5, filed a permit application for construction of a 168-unit, 249,902-square-foot building at 990 Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

There have been 15 new building plans filed in Crown Heights over the last 12 months. These plans call for the construction of the second most dwelling units in the neighborhood over that period. The 12 plans combined call for the construction of 668 new dwelling units.

The plans call for the construction of a 67-foot-tall, six-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00653731. The development site spans several tax lots.

The project is described in the filing as: proposed six-story residential new building. Work on cellar, floors one through six and roof.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have parking for 48 cars, a residential lobby, and amenity spaces. Floors two through five will each have 36 dwelling units per floor, the second floor will also have four terraces. The sixth floor will have 24 dwelling units.

The architect listed is Hill West Architects (using the retired name Goldstein, Hill & West Architects).

The job cost is estimated to be $20 million.

The property was acquired with two other properties for $33 million on November 17, 2017.
