Columbia University is fully permitted for $1.7M multi-floor rehab of campus building in Manhattanville
Columbia University, on July 27, was given a permit for a $1.7 million rehabilitation of multiple floors of a campus office building at 3227 Broadway in Manhattanville.
The plans, pre-filed on December 9, 2019, call for a rehab of the sub-cellar, ground floor, and mezzanine of the 176-foot tall, nine-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: general construction and minor demolition as per plan provided. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $1.7 million.
Columbia University recently completed a $5 million rehab of the cellar of another campus building, known as Schapiro Center for Engineering and Physical Science Research, at 530 West 120th Street in Morningside Heights.
This month the university also filed a permit application for a $1.1 million rehab of the eighth floor of the Columbia University Medical Center in the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital at 622 West 168th Street.
