Columbia files $8.5M plans at proposed Inwood sports complex site
Columbia University recently filed plans for an $8.5 million rehabilitation of one floor and the roof of a building at 603 West 218th Street in Inwood.
The university filed plans in July of last year calling for construction of a 44-foot tall, one-story, 50,112-square-foot sports complex building at the site. The ground floor of the building will have a tennis court, locker room, lounge and offices, according to the plans. The first mezzanine will be used for a locker room, offices, a lounge, and storage, while the second mezzanine will have additional tennis courts.
The plans call for a rehab of the ground floor, mezzanine, and roof of the building. They were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under number M00429912.
The plans were described in the filing as: filing herewith structural work in conjunction with new building application # 121208212. No change in use egress or occupancy under this application.
