Clipper, Schwimmer permitted for 143-unit mixed-use building in Williamsburg

David Bistricer’s Clipper Equity and Solomon Schwimmer through the company Hope-Keap Owner LLC, on April 20, were given a permit for construction of a 143-unit, 98,206-square-foot mixed-use building at 130 Hope Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The permit issued was a new building permit. The developer was issued foundation permits on April 15.

The plans, pre-filed on April 29, 2020, call for the construction of a 70-foot tall, seven-story mixed-use building.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed seven-story and cellar mixed-use building with a total of 143 dwelling units.

The ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby, recreation space in the form of a gym, laundry, communal working space, retail space, and 12 dwelling units. Floors two through six will each have 22 dwelling units and laundry per floor. The seventh floor will have 21 dwelling units, laundry, and a lounge. The building will also have recreation space outside as well as on the roof. There will be parking space in the building’s cellar for 72 cars.

J Frankl C Mallea Associates is listed as the architect.

A single-story structure that previously occupied the site was demolished in 2017.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.
