City permitted for construction of 134K sf fueling station in SI

New York City, on May 11, was given a permit for construction of a 134,348-square-foot fueling station for the New York City Department of Design and Construction at 1000 West Service Road in Staten Island.

The permit issued was a new building permit.

The plans, pre-filed on January 14, 2020, call for the construction of a 44-foot tall, one-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: new fueling station on site for use of DSNY vehicles stored at new garage repair shop and existing garage/repair shop.

According to the plans, the building will have multiple fuel dispensing islands.

Andrea Steele Architecture is the architect named.
