City permitted for 40K sf school in Kensington
New York City School Construction Authority, on September 28, was given a permit for construction of a 40,467-square-foot school building at 4513 8th Avenue in Kensington, Brooklyn.
The developer received both foundation and plumbing permits.
The plans, pre-filed on November 2, 2018, call for the construction of a 74-foot tall, five-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: 730K – filing herewith to erect new five-story building.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby, lunch room, exam room and nurse’s office, music room, and classroom space. The second floor will have classrooms, a reading room, and a teacher’s work room. The third and fourth floor will have offices and classrooms, the fifth floor will have an office and multipurpose room.
RKTB Architects, P.C. is the architect named.
The property was acquired for $28 million on June 20, 2018.
