City permitted for 37K sf school building in Flushing
The New York City School Construction Authority, on April 1, was given a permit for construction of a 37,300-square-foot school building at 64-29 218th Street in Flushing. Elan Abneri filled the plans.
The permits issued were new building and plumbing permits, initial foundation permits were issued in January.
The plans, pre-filed on October 30, 2019, call for the construction of a 35-foot tall, three-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: PS046-Q proposed new three-story school building.
Floors one through thee of the building will each have classroom, office, and storage space, per the plans.
Kliment Halsband Architects was the architect listed.
Demolition plans have not been filed yet.
An estimated completion date has not been announced.
