The Horizon Group permitted for 39-unit resi building in Bushwick

The Horizon Group, on April 1, was given a permit for construction of a 39-unit, 25,876-square-foot residential building at 378 Weirfield Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. David Marom, who owns and operates the firm, filed the plans.

The plans, pre-filed on September 11, 2020, call for the construction of a 51-foot tall, five-story residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: construct new 12-story residential-use building as per plans filed.

According to the plans, the ground floor will have indoor and outdoor recreation spaces, a residential lobby, mailroom, and three dwelling units. Floors two through nine will each have six dwelling units per floor, while floors 10 through 12 will each have five dwelling units per floor. The building will also have recreation space and a ground floor parking garage for 36 cars. The cellar will have several additional indoor and outdoor recreation spaces.

Aufgang Architects is listed as the architect.

Demolition plans were filed in September 2020 for the one-story structure on the property, and permits were issued either this year.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.

The property was acquired with two other properties for $4 million on October 30, 2020.
