City permitted for $10.6M exterior rehab of East New York elementary school
New York City School Construction Authority, on September 13, was given a permit for a $10.6 million rehabilitation of a school building’s exterior at 605 Shepherd Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn.
The plans, pre-filed on July 5, 2019, call for work on the exterior of the 42-foot tall, four-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: exterior masonry repairs, total roof replacement, windows replacement, parapet s replacement, provide a new roof railing system, replace bulkhead doors on roof, interior finishes paint and plaster work. As per plans filed herewith, no change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $10,567,000.
The architect for the project is the NYC SCA.
