City files plans for new 10K sf Bronx Science lab
The New York City School Construction Authority, on April 1, filed a permit application for construction of an approximately 10,891-square-foot building at 75 West 205th Street in the Jerome Park neighborhood of the Bronx. The building will be used as an educational laboratory for the Bronx High School of Science. Robert Murphy, chief project officer for the city’s SCA, filed the plans.
The plans call for the construction of a 21-foot tall, two-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under number X00491133.
The building will occupy a portion of one tax lot.
The project is described in the filing as: filing for new two-story building for Bronx High School of Science (SCA) as shown per plan.
Per the plans, the ground floor will have lab space, a lobby, multipurpose rooms, and office space. The second floor will have labs and breakout rooms.
Dattner Architects is listed as the architect.
The estimated job cost is $13,000,000.
