City files plans for $9M rehab of school building in Gramercy
New York City School Construction Authority, on September 16, filed plans for a $9 million rehabilitation of several floors at school building at 40 Irving Place in Gramercy, Manhattan.
The building houses multiple public schools and charter schools, including the Success Academy, which claims it is the largest and highest-performing free, public charter school network in New York City, according to its website.
The plans call for work on floors one through 12 of the building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00594556.
The project is described in the filing as: Replace Existing Fans and Remove and replace exhaust fan 5T completely. Refurbish existing unit ventilator. Remove and Replace existing building’s temperature control system. Remove and replace existing chiller with new modular chiller.
