City files plans for 42K sf school in Staten Island

New York City School Construction Authority, on June 25, filed a permit application for construction of a 42,393-square-foot school building at 348 Deisius Street in Huguenot, Staten Island.

The plans call for the construction of a 58-foot tall, three-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: PS5R herewith filing three-story new school building.

According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a nurse office, record room, classrooms, offices, a cafeteria, and a kitchen. The second floor will have classrooms, offices, a library, and stage. The third floor will have storage, classrooms, staff lunch, and a conference room.

Lee Harris Pomeroy Architects is listed as the architect.

The property is currently occupied by the Huguenot School building. No demolition plans have been filed yet.
