City files plans for $3.5M rehab of Bronx school
New York City School Construction Authority, on January 14, filed a permit application for a $3.5 million rehabilitation of a Bronx elementary school at 1000 East Tremont Avenue.
The plans call for a rehab of the cellar, roof, and all floors of the 75-foot tall, four-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: PS 6X – filing herewith for the roof replacement, exterior masonry repair, partial parapet removal and construction, lintel replacement and site paving. There will be no change in egress, occupancy and use. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,510,850.
SBLM Architects is named as the architect.
These are the first plans filed at the building since 2018.
