City agency roundup: Hospitals plans $4.2M rehab, Central Park building permitted for $3.2M rehab
New York City Health + Hospitals, on September 15, filed a permit application for a $4.2 million rehabilitation of one floor of the Lincoln Hospital at 234 East 149th Street in Mott Haven.
The plans call for a rehab of the ground floor of the 143-foot tall, 10-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: Lincoln Hospital – structural modifications for new concrete pads and CMU piers for underground fuel oil storage tanks. Structural modifications to provide new beam to reinforce first-floor slab. All according to plans filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $4,200,000.
The architect listed is Severud Associates.
The hospital has provided health care services to the Mott Haven community for over 177 years, and is recognized for having one of the premier trauma centers in the country.
Earlier this month, NYC HHC formally completed a $7.8 million rehab of several floors of a hospital building at 900 Main Street on Roosevelt Island.

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection, on September 16, was given a permit for a $3.7 million rehab of an industrial building at 107 2nd Drive in Central Park.
The plans, pre-filed on July 9, 2019, call for a rehab of the cellar and ground floor of the 48-foot tall, one-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: boiler filing work as per plans filed herewith. No change to use, egress, or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,650,000.
The architect will be Savin Engineers.
