Chaim Deutsch files plans for 24-unit mixed-use building in East Williamsburg

Chaim Deutsch, on June 15, filed a permit application for construction of a 24-unit, 30,344-square-foot mixed-use building at 89 Throop Avenue in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The plans call for the construction of a 55-foot tall, five-story mixed-use building, and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under number B00531676. The development site spans two tax lots.

The project is described in the filing as: five-story mixed-use building – house of worship and 24 dwelling units.

According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a synagogue, a room connected to the house of worship, and parking for 12 cars. The second floor will have a house of worship and library. The third floor will have seven dwelling units, the fourth floor will have nine dwelling units, and the fifth floor will have eight dwelling units. The roof will have recreation space. The cellar will have a prayers room, laundry room, and ritual bath and showers.

S. Wieder Architect PC is listed as the architect.

The property was acquired for $1.7 million on June 21, 2016.
