Century Development files for 64-unit mixed-use building at recently purchased dev site in LIC
George Xu’s Century Development Group, on October 19, filed a permit application for construction of a 64-unit, 58,254-square-foot mixed-use building at 37-24 33rd Street in Long Island City, Queens. Xu purchased the industrial property for $13 million in January.
The plans call for the construction of a 75-foot tall, seven-story mixed-use building.
The project is described in the filings as: new building.
The cellar of the building will have 38 off-street accessory parking spaces, per the plans. The ground floor will be split between a photographic and motion picture production studio, a residential lobby, and an indoor recreation area. Floors two through six will each have 11 dwelling units per floor, while the seventh floor will have seven dwelling units.
Raymond Chan Architect is listed as the architect in the filing.
Demolition plans were filed in January for the commercial building on the site. The plans were permitted last month.
An estimated completion date has not been announced.
