Cayre Equities receives TCO for 75K sf storage building in Middle Village

Cayre Equities, on September 9, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 75,996-square-foot storage building at 79-40 Cooper Avenue in Middle Village. Kenneth Cayre is the co-founder of Cayre Equities.

The plans, pre-filed on July 6, 2017, call for the construction of a 71-foot tall, five-story building. The time from pre-file to TCO was three years and two months. The owners representative on the filing was James Coakley.

The project is described in the filings as: erect five-story warehouse new building and one 24′-0′ curb cut including two 2′-6′ splays on Cooper Avenue per plans filed herewith.

The storage building has offices on the sub-cellar and ground floor, as well as 14 total parking spaces, per the plans.

The architect on the filing is Butz Wilbern Ltd.

Cayre owns several other storage buildings as well, mainly located in Brooklyn and the Bronx.

The property was acquired for $7 million on March 13, 2015.
