Cape Advisors files four new building plans, for a total of 469 units in Astoria

Cape Advisors, on January 13, filed four permit applications for the construction of four buildings, with a combined 469 dwelling units, in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens. David Kronman, president and principal of the firm, filed each of the plans.

There have been 36 new building plans, including these plans, filed in Astoria in the previous 12 months. The plans combined call for the construction of 2,345 new dwelling units in the neighborhood.

The first plans call for the construction of a 262-foot-tall, 26-story, 241-unit, 313,563-square-foot mixed-use building at 8-01 26th Avenue and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00646756. The development site spans one tax lot.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have parking for 20 cars, a lobby, multiple retail spaces, and the lower level of four townhouse apartments. The second floor will have parking for 26 cars and the upper level of four townhouse apartments. The third floor will have 12 dwelling units and parking for 43 cars. Floors four through six will each have 18 dwelling units per floor. The seventh floor will have amenity space and 13 dwelling units. The eighth floor will have 10 dwelling units, floors nine and 10 will each have 15 dwelling units, floors 11 through 22 will each have eight dwelling units per floor, the 23rd floor will have six dwelling units, and floors 24 and 25 will each have five dwelling units.
