Beitel Group files plans for 470-unit resi building, most units planned in Mott Haven in 12 months
Binyamin Beitel’s Beitel Group, on January 13, filed a permit application for construction of a 470-unit, 306,893-square-foot residential building at 120 East 144th Street in Mott Haven, Bronx.
The plans were filed under the company name Besyata Investment Group, which Beitel Group used to operate under.
The new building application calls for the construction of the most dwelling units in the neighborhood in the previous 12 months.
The plans are one of seven new building plans filed in Mott Haven in the previous 12 months. Those seven plans combined call for the construction of 1,604 dwelling units.
The plans call for the construction of a 140-foot-tall, 13-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00648530. The development site spans one tax lot.
The project is described in the filing as: Proposed 13-story and cellar residential building.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have an exercise room, conference room, game room, multiple lounges, a lobby, and three dwelling units. Floors two through nine will each have 40 dwelling units per floor, floors 10 and 11 will each have 37 dwelling units per floor, the 12th floor will have 36 dwelling units, and the 13th floor will have 37 dwelling units. The roof will have recreation space. The cellar will have parking for 155 cars.
