Builders Group USA files plans for enlargement of two-unit building to 25-unit building in Longwood Melrose

Yitzi Salamon’s Builders Group USA Inc., on March 30, filed plans for a vertical enlargement of a residential building at 135 Marcy Place in Longwood Melrose, the Bronx. The project will convert the two-unit building to a 25-unit building.

The plans call for an increase in the size of the building from a 19-foot tall, two-story building with two dwelling units to a 53-foot tall, five-story building with 25 dwelling units. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00707462.

The project is described in the filing as: application filed herewith to propose the following: horizontal enlargement at the second floor. Two-story vertical enlargement with a penthouse and bulk head. Increase dwelling units to 26. obtain new certificate of occupancy.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have three dwelling units. Floors two through four of the building will each have six dwelling units per floor, while the penthouse and cellar will each have two dwelling units.
