Builders Group USA files plans for enlargement of two-unit building to 25-unit building in Highbridge.
Yitzi Salamon’s Builders Group USA Inc., on June 7, filed plans for a vertical enlargement of a residential building from two units to 25 units at 51 West 174th Street in Highbridge, the Bronx.
The developer has filed plans for at least two other similar expansion projects in the Bronx this year. On March 30, the developer filed plans for a vertical enlargement of a residential building at 135 Marcy Place in Longwood Melrose, the Bronx, which will convert a two-unit building to a 25-unit building. Then on April 11, the developer filed plans for a vertical enlargement of a residential building at at 2773 Reservoir Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights, the Bronx, which will convert the existing two-unit building into a 20-unit building.
The new plans call for the increase in the size of the building from a 23-foot tall, two-story building with two dwelling units to a 55-foot tall, four-story building with 25 dwelling units. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00742225.
The project is described in the filing as: proposed interior renovation, vertical and horizontal enlargement. Converting two-story and cellar residential into four-story, cellar and penthouse.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will go from one to three dwelling units. The second floor will go from one to six dwelling units. Floors three and four will each have six dwelling units per floor. The penthouse will have two dwelling units. The cellar will have two dwelling units.
