BRP receives TCO for 130-unit mixed-use building in Jamaica
BRP Companies, on February 26, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 130-unit, 141,742-square-foot mixed-use building, part of the Crossing at Jamaica Station development, at 148-10 Archer Avenue in Jamaica. Meredith Marshall, co-founder and managing partner at BRP, filed the plans.
The other development in the two-building complex is located at 147-10 Archer Avenue. The complex is comprised of 667 units.
The plans, pre-filed on June 29, 2015, call for the construction of a 146-foot tall, 15-story mixed-use building. The time from pre-file to TCO was five years and nine months.
The project is described in the filings as: proposed 15-story mixed-use new building.
The ground floor of the building, per the plans, has a residential lobby and community facility space. The second floor has additional community facility space and a children’s playroom. Floors three through 13 each have 11 dwelling units per floor, the 14th floor has nine dwelling units, a lounge, and outdoor terrace. The 15th floor has an additional outdoor terrace.
FXCollaborative designed the building.
The developer received a $323 million loan from the city for the construction of the building. Then, in January of 2020, the developer added a second loan valued at $13.3 million from the HDC.
