BRP Companies permitted for 614-unit mixed-use building in Jamaica
BRP Companies on April 26, received a permit for construction of a 614-unit, 492,987-square-foot residential building at 166-20 90th Avenue in Jamaica, Queens. The development site has an alternate address of 90-02 168th Street.
The development is known as 90Ninety, according to the developer’s website. Below are renderings for the project.

The plans, pre-filed on August 17, 2020, call for the construction of a 124-foot tall, 12-story, 492,987-square-foot residential building with 614 residential units.

The project is described in the filings as: a new 12-story mixed-use building.
The building will have a north and south tower. Amenities include recreation spaces, lounges, a child’s playroom, fitness room, and an exercise room. The building will also have retail space. Dwelling units will span floors two through 12 of both towers.
The property was acquired for $20.5 million on December 27, 2018 from the Greater Jamaica Development Corp. Geoff Flournoy of BRP was the signatory on the deed.
Correction: A prior version of this post reported that Jeff Sutton and Wharton Properties were involved with this project, citing prior news articles, but a spokesperson for BRP said Wharton was not involved.
