Brookfield files 5 rehab plans totaling $36.6M at 1100 Avenue of the Americas in Grand Central
Brookfield Properties, on November 04, filed five permit applications for $36.6 million worth of rehabilitations of several floors of an office building at 1100 Avenue of the Americas in Grand Central.
The entire 386,000-square-foot building was leased by Bank of America in 2017.
The plans call for rehabs of floors three through 13 and the 15th floor of the 150-foot tall, 15-story, building.
Each of the projects is described in the filings as: removal and installation of interior nonbearing partitions as per plans filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy under this application.
The most expensive of the five plans calls for a $4.2 million rehab of floors three through five, while the least expensive calls for a $2.8 million rehab of floors 12 and 13.
Brookfield Properties, along with California-based Swig Company, purchased the longterm leasehold on the building in 2017.
Last year it was reported that the developer was planning a “top-to-bottom redesign” of the building.
