Brookfield files plans for $10.4M single-floor rehab at 1 New York Plaza
Brookfield Properties, on July 10, filed a permit application for a $10.4 million rehabilitation of one floor of the office building at 1 New York Plaza in the Financial District.
The plans call for a rehab of the fifth floor of the 640-foot tall, 50-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: interior renovation as per plans filed herewith. no change in use, occupancy or egress. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $10,400,721.
These are the third renovation plans filed by Brookfield at the building so far this year.
China Investment Corp., a sovereign wealth fund, paid about $700 million for a 49 percent stake in the downtown office building in May of 2016.
