Brookfield Properties and Park Tower Group file plans for construction of a 374-unit, 318K sf residential building in Greenpoint.

Brookfield Properties and Park Tower Group, on April 3, filed a permit application for construction of a 374-unit, 318,594-square-foot residential building at 35 Commercial Street in Greenpoint.

The plans call for the construction of a 213-foot tall, 22-story, residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: new twenty-two (22) story residential building with commercial spaces at ground floor.

The tower will have two eating and drinking establishments on the ground floor, according to the building plans.

The project is part of a $1 billion joint venture between the two developers. In total, Brookfield and Park Tower group will develop more than 2,000 units to the area.
