Brookfield plans $11M multi-floor rehab in Brookfield Place

Brookfield Properties, on July 29, filed a permit application for an $11.1 million rehabilitation of three floors of an office building at 200 Liberty Street in Brookfield Place in Battery Park City.

The plans call for a rehab of floors 29 through 31 of the 516-foot tall, 39-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: minor non-structural demolition and interior renovation on the 29th, 30th, and 31st construction floors (30th, 31st, and 32nd marketing floors). No change to use, egress, or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $11,149,189.

Brookfield renovating the two-story lobby of the building since announcing plans in 2018. Reports indicated the total cost of the rehab would end up exceeding $50 million.

The developer has filed 11 total renovation plans at the building so far this year.
