Brookfield finishes $11M single-floor rehab of 1 New York Plaza

Brookfield Properties, on April 8, formally completed an $11 million rehabilitation of one floor at 1 New York Plaza in the Financial District.

The plans, pre-filed on January 9, 2020, call for a rehab of the 11th floor of the 640-foot-tall, 50-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: removal and installation of interior non-bearing partitions as per plans filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy under this application. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $11,049,000.

HLW International LLP was the architect.

The developer wrapped up multiple significant rehab projects in the building last year. Such as a $9.5 million rehab of the 16th floor and an $11.2 million rehab of the 10th floor.
