Bronx charter school files plans for $34M project related to excavation of 76K sf school in Mott Haven
South Bronx Charter School For International Cultures & the Arts, on December 14, filed plans for a $34 million project at the site of a proposed school building at 2500 Park Avenue in Mott Haven, the Bronx. The plans call for work on the foundation of the site.
The school recently filed very similar plans, calling for a $34 million project to support excavation. The plans are both currently active, with the earlier plans currently listed as being under plan examiner review.
Last year, the school filed a permit application for construction of a 76,486-square-foot school building at 199 East 135th Street. The entry will be at 2500 Park Avenue. Stephen Grasso of Partners for Architecture is the architect.
The plans for a project relating to the foundation and excavation of the building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00515522.
The project is described in the filing as: proposed foundation, excavation and pile work, filed in conjunction with NB application #240276811. All as per plans filed herewith.
