Bridge Development files plans for construction of a 182K sf office in Sunset Park

Bridge Development Partners, on July 29, filed a permit application for construction of a 182,319-square-foot building at 64 20th Street in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. John Porcek, a principal with the firm, filed the plans.

The Chicago-based Bridge Development Partners opened an office in New Jersey in 2017.

The plans call for the construction of a 74-foot-tall, five-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00519475. The development site spans four tax lots.

The project is described in the filing as: construct new five-story office building and accessory parking garage.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will be used for office space while floors two through five will be used as a parking garage. Each floor of the parking garage will have space for 12 vehicles.

The architect listed is Ware Malcomb.

The property was acquired with three other properties for $40.8 million on January 10, 2019.

Active development in the neighborhood includes the nonprofit Fifth Avenue Committee’s plans for a 76-unit, 58,764-square-foot mixed-use building at 6309 4th Avenue. The plans were permitted last October.
