Bolivar Development files plans for 63K sf school in Highbridge
Peter Fine of Bolivar Development, on February 11, filed a permit application for construction of a 63,225-square-foot school building at 1477 Macombs Road in Highbridge, the Bronx. It’s the second school building Fine has filed for in a month.
The plans call for the construction of a 105-foot tall, eight-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: an eight-story new building.
The ground floor of the building will have a lobby, offices, nurse room, and music room, per the plans. The second floor will have an outdoor playground, classrooms, and offices. Floors three through seven will each have classroom and office space. The eighth floor will have a work room and storage. The cellar will have dining, a kitchen, servery, and offices. The outside of the building will have a playground.
GF55 Partners is listed as the architect.
Demolition plans have not been filed yet.
According to reports, the school is expected to be completed in mid-2023.
The property was acquired with two other properties for $7.6 million on November 27, 2019.
The developer filed plans for a 118,231-square-foot school building at 401 West 218th Street in Inwood earlier this month. GF55 Partners is also designing the Inwood school.
