Bloomberg L.P., as tenant, signed a memorandum of lease with landlord SL Green Realty through its entity Metropolitan 919 3rd Avenue LLC for five full floors and one partial floor at 919 Third Avenue in Midtown East. The memorandum was signed on January 31, 2020 and was recorded on February 12, 2020
The property contains a total of 1,323,432 square feet of built space.
Yesterday, PincusCo reported Bloomberg paid Bloomingdales $36 million. It’s likely that was a lease buyout. This new memorandum of lease discloses that Bloomberg has leased the entire fifth through ninth floors and a portion of the 11th floor, for 10 years with an option to extend either five or 10 more years. The lease also gives Bloomberg the right of first offer to lease additional space in the building.
The DOB issued a major alteration (A1) initial temporary certificate of occupancy for the building on March 6, 2017.
Over the past five years, there have been 106 NYC Department of Buildings permit applications filed for this parcel valued at more than $20,000. There were 3 major renovation applications including a certificate of occupancy change (A1) filed with a total estimated value of $8,669,000. There were 103 renovation/alteration projects (A2) applied for with a total estimated value of $158,072,426.
