BLDG receives TCO for 45-unit rental in East Village, seven years after plans filed

BLDG Management, on March 15, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 45-unit, 42,238-square-foot mixed-use building at 251 East 2nd Street in the East Village. Lloyd Goldman, founder of BLDG Management, filed the plans. The building has an alternate address of 11 Avenue C.

The plans, pre-filed on March 14, 2014, call for the construction of a 109-foot tall, 10-story mixed-use building. The time from pre-file to TCO was seven years.

The project is described in the filings as: erect 10-story mixed-use building.

The ground floor of the building has a residential lobby and retail space, per the plans filed. Floors two through eight have six dwelling units per floor, the ninth floor has two dwelling units with private terraces, a lounge, and public roof. The 10th floor has one dwelling unit with a private terrace. The cellar has laundry and an amenity room.

SLCE Architects is listed as the architect, however Rotwein + Blake Architects were behind the actual design of the building, per a report from Yimby.

The property was acquired for $7 million on September 6, 2012.
