Biren Patel files plans for 29-unit resi building in University Heights

Biren Patel, on March 8, filed a permit application for construction of a 29-unit, 19,987-square-foot residential building at 2279 University Avenue in University Heights, Bronx.

These are the fourth new building plans filed in the neighborhood in the previous 12 months,.

The plans call for the construction of a 74-foot-tall, eight-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00693107. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: new apartment building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have four parking spaces. The second floor will have recreation space and three dwelling units. Floors three through five will each have four dwelling units per floor, floors six and seven will each have five dwelling units, and the eighth floor will have four dwelling units. The building will also have open space consisting of five additional parking spaces.

The architect listed is Badaly Architects.

The property was acquired for $730,000 on August 22, 2016.
