BFC files plans for $3.6M build-out of public school at Bronx Commons

BFC Partners, on June 19, filed a permit application for a $3.6 million rehab of public schools space on the ground floor of a residential building at 430 East 163rd Street at the Bronx Commons development in Morrisania.

The plans call for a rehab of the ground floor of the 148-foot tall, 14-story, building. Brandon Baron, a principal with BFC, was identified as the owner.

The project is described in the filings as: Bronx public school X494 – interior fit out of school on first floor. Install new non-load bearing partitions, fixtures, and finishes. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,555,000.
