Ben Baum files plans for 55-unit resi building in Wakefield

Ben Baum, on December 13, filed a permit application for construction of a 55-unit, 22,680-square-foot building at 769 East 232nd Street in Wakefield, Bronx.

The estimated job cost is $6,800,000.

These are the third new building plans filed in the neighborhood this year.

The plans call for the construction of a 51-foot-tall, four-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00521651. The development site spans three tax lots.

The project is described in the filing as: erection of new four-story building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have 14 dwelling units. Floors two and three will also each have 14 dwelling units, while the fourth floor will have three dwelling units. The basement will have 10 dwelling units and the cellar will have office in conjunction with community facility space.

CB Engineering PC is the architect.

The property was acquired for $200,000 on August 29, 2017.
