Beitel Group files demo plans at Mott Haven site with 470-unit dev plans

Binyamin Beitel’s Beitel Group, on July 6, filed a permit application for the demolition of a building at 120 East 144th Street in Mott Haven, the Bronx.

Earlier this year, the developer filed plans for the construction of a 470-unit, 306,893-square-foot residential building at the site. At the time of that new building filing, the plans called for the construction of the most dwelling units in the neighborhood in the previous 12 months.

Beitel Group closed on the purchase of the site for $41.5 million from Susan Weber in April.

The new plans, pre-filed on July 6, 2022, call for the demolition of a two-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: full demolition to a two-story building
