BBM Construction Corp. files plans for 37-unit mixed-use building in Central Harlem
Moses Kupferstein’s BBM Construction Corp., on January 11, filed a permit application for construction of a 37-unit, 31,008-square-foot mixed-use building at 219 West 125th Street in Central Harlem, Manhattan.
The plans are one of 12 new building plans filed in Harlem over the previous 12 months. The 12 plans combined to call for the construction of 641 dwelling units in the neighborhood over the span.
The plans call for the construction of a 134-foot-tall, 12-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00637413. The development site spans one tax lot.
The project is described in the filing as: 12-story mixed-use building – total of 37 dwelling units.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have retail and a residential lobby. Floors two and three will each have five dwelling units, floors four through eight will each have four dwelling units per floor, and floors nine through 11 will each have three dwelling units per floor. The 12th floor will have multiple recreation spaces.
The architect listed is Genaro Urueta Inc.
The property was acquired for $8.9 million on October 31, 2006.
