Bawabeh Holdings files plans for 49K sf charter school in East New York

Bawabeh Holdings, on November 2, filed a permit application for construction of a 49,385-square-foot charter school at 556 New Lots Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Soly Bawabeh, a partner with the company, filed the plans. According to the plans, the building will also have commercial and community space.

The developer is also behind plans for a 48,072-square-foot school building at 1935 Eastern Parkway Extension in Ocean Hill

There have now been 23 new building plans filed in East New York so far this year.

The estimated job cost is $3,011,373.

The plans call for the construction of a 103-foot-tall, six-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00621662.

The project is described in the filing as: new six-story and cellar charter school, commercial and community facility building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have commercial and community space. Floors two through five will have school space. The sixth floor will have a gym. The roof will also have school space. A cafeteria will be located in the cellar.
