Bank of China finishes a $4M multi-floor build-out of an office building in Garment District

Bank of China, on August 10, completed a $4 million build-out of multiple floors of an office building at 7 Bryant Park in the Garment District.

The plans, pre-filed on December 23, 2019 by Hines, the property and asset manager, call for a build-out of floors 23 and 24 of the 441-foot tall, 29-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: interior renovations for office space build-out as per plans filed herewith. No change to use, egress, or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,952,251.

The 470,000-square-foot-building, located between West 39th and 40th streets, was designed by Henry N. Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners. Bank of China controls the building through a ground lease it signed in 2015 as the tenant, valued at $597 million.

Schroder Investment Management North America took 73,796-square-feet of space in the building in 2016.
