Avery Hall Investments files plans for 67K retail building in Gowanus
Avery Hall Investments, on October 7, filed a permit application for construction of a 67,431-square-foot retail building at 499 President Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
The plans call for the construction of a 20-foot tall, one-story retail building. Colin McLean, senior development manager at Avery Hall Investments, was the owner representative on the filing.
The project is described in the filings as: herewith filing a one-story commercial building with loading berth.
According to the plans, the building will have four retail units, two loading berths, storage, and parking for 139 cars in the cellar.
SLCE will be responsible for the architecture.
Demolition plans were filed in June for the one-story building that currently occupies the property. The plans have not yet been permitted.
The property was acquired for $7.5 million on October 17, 2019.
