Aurora, Vornado finish $3.5M fit-out of office building in Chelsea
Aurora Capital Associates and Vornado Realty Trust, on January 26, formally completed a $3.5 million fit-out of one floor of an office building at 61 9th Avenue in Chelsea.
The plans, pre-filed on April 10, 2020, call for a fit-out of the second floor of the 135-foot tall, 10-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: hereby filing to demolish and construction interior partitions, ceilings, and doors for single tenant fit out as shown on drawings filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,519,375.
The building was designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects.
Starbucks operates a three-story Reserve Roastery in the building.
In April of 2019 the online brand management company Yext announced it would be leasing all 142,500-square-feet of office space in the building.
